My Students

We are a small school in Amory, MS. My classes have a combined total of 75 eager learners. Several of whom love to read and enjoy computer work. We are spending several days this year completing online work as well as working together in centers.

We have many low income students who are willing to learn as much as possible.

We have a very close group of students who have grown up together. I have paid for most of the things in my room and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to ask for help!

My Project

My students have loved when their passages are on audio. Listening to something being read builds vocabulary and can boost comprehension. We will have a computer cart once or twice every week where students can use our headphones and listen to Flocabulary songs.

Flocabulary is an amazing resource with catchy songs to help students understand usually boring topics.

Flocabulary also has reading passages for students and questions that go along with those passages. This website also has vocabulary practice using flash cards and context clues. Headphones are needed to listen to these songs individually. Students will grow their vocabulary listening to passages through the headphones.
