My Students

This year is my first year teaching high school Spanish, a content which I've loved and for which I've had a passion since I was in elementary school. I want to create a comfortable, positive learning environment for my students to foster a love of learning and a passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture that I have found throughout my life.

I teach all levels and grades of students everyday, and I have students of varying abilities and needs in my class.

My students are special because they are respectful, kind, and compassionate individuals. They make me want to be a better teacher every day.

My Project

My students need a class set of twenty-five noise cancelling headphones to practice their listening skills in the foreign language Spanish. Listening, speaking, writing, and reading are all skills involved in language acquisition. As a class, we do various activities within all of these domains. Having a class set of headphones, though, will help students be more independent learners in my classroom, and it will help them practice their listening skills on a more regular basis.

Students being able to use a class set of headphones will allow me to take more a facilitator role and the students to take a front seat in their learning.
