My Students
"Dance as if no one were watching, sing as if no one were listening, and live every day as if it were your last." This Irish proverb is shown by my students each and every day.
I have 27 amazingly creative, smart children in a Title One school in New York.
My students work hard and love to learn through many different artistic means. Due to the economy, the only chance they get for various ways of learning is in school. Their parents cannot afford to take them to dance lessons or sporting events. They love to dance, or listen to relaxing music while working.
My Project
Since our radio is broken, we are at a loss within our classroom. By having a new radio with a cd player within our classroom, we will be able to learn through dance and movement. With an upcoming play we are putting on, we can practice our moves through using a cd with the music of this play on it.
There are also various cds that teach math, grammar and social studies. Using these cds on a new radio would help the children who learn best through audio and movement.
Having a cd player would make a huge difference in how my children learn.
By using the creative means of music, they will hear topics being brought to a different light. They would have a chance to show everyone how they shine in so many ways!
