My students need a new listening center & Reading & Math activities to reinforce skills taught, to motivate & challenge themselves, and to promote independent learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Would you like to help motivate, challenge, & reinforce skills taught in the classroom? Our class needs a new listening center!
Our school has many students from low socioeconomic homes, English Language Learners & students with special needs.
My students are eager to learn. However, each student learns at a different pace. Some need reinforcement of skills taught while others need to be challenged. Our pacing plan does not allow enough time for students to master skills. The listening center will allow students time to practice or provide enrichment activities while I work with students during small group instruction.
My Project
A new listening center with selected Reading & Math activities based on grade-level standards will inspire students to work independently at their own pace & learn to monitor their own progress.
With new technology, up to four students will be able to complete an activity at one time.
Help our class have fun learning by practicing skills & being independent learners!
A listening center will provide repetition to learn a new concept, teach students to monitor their own progress, allow students to become more independent, but most of all enjoy learning in a fun way using technology.
