My students need a wireless listening center in the classroom. My young learners love having books read to them but are getting frustrated with the tangled wires.
Children love to hear books being read. It is soothing, teaches fluency, comprehension, and creates excitement for books.
My kindergarten students are so excited about learning to read.
They enjoy reading books as well as having stories read aloud to them. Our classroom is a literacy rich environment to expose children to good text and modeling of fluency so they can become better readers.
My Project
If we get the wireless headphones students will enjoy visiting the listening center. Usually we only have 1 to 2 students visit the listening center each day because of the big mess that is created with all the headphone wires getting tangled and the volume being to loud on one headphone and barely heard on another. I know these wireless headphones will create an excitement and sense of ease when going to the listening station. We have an excellent assortment of books on tape and exposing my students to them will be an awesome experience in literacy and a good model of fluency. You can help me by donating to this project.

The recording of the books include different voices and noises for effect. I know that the listening center will become a favorite with your support. I know that my reading scores in comprehension and fluency will improve dramatically with more exposure to this valuable technology.
