Help me give my students Califone 2800-RD Listening First Headphones in Red (Set of 12) to allow my student to hear the technology in a quiet educational environment .
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My scholars strive each day energetically and determined to receive an education. Our school is a Title I funded program and my scholars embody diverse backgrounds. They work hard each day to better themselves academically, while making promises to be the first to enter college.
Nevertheless, our learning institution consist of scholars who receive free lunch, uniforms and supplies, while striving to obtain the American dream.
Many of our families function in harsh survival conditions daily and regularly go without the bare necessities. Unfortunately, technology, books and museum visits are at the bottom of their priority list. Technology is desperately needed to assist with a reading program called Tutor Mate.
My Project
The use of headphones in a workstation along with charge equipment is essential to a Daily 5 rotation and maintenance of the technology. It is very important to ensure level 0 or 1 during workstation time. Our Daily 5 activities in my classroom involves movement and less noise is greatly appreciated, especially in reading math and science workstation time. Using these headphones would allow level zero in the classroom , while I teach in a small group. The headphones allow me to monitor and not hear off task behavior, as well as provide an easy tool for them to listen to stories being read and vital math steps given to ensure mastery.
