My students are energetic 7 and 8 year olds that are excited about learning. They love to read, write, and research to learn about topics that interest them. They strive to learn and try new things everyday!
They are very capable when it comes to areas of technology and project based learning.
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day eager to learn something new.
We use a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met. Our school is community minded and we work together with students, parents, and families to make sure our students achieve success. It is an honor to work with such a caring and thoughtful school and community.
My Project
We are fortunate to have several great online licenses that allow our students access to online books, lessons, and games that teach. We do not have working headphones that allow students to take advantage of this. We are limited to only a few students being able to do this daily because of the lack of headphones.
Students will have opportunities to listen to assigned leveled books that are just right for each student.
They will then complete comprehension activities based on these books. They will also have the opportunity to further research areas that are of interest to the student.
A class set of headphones will allow each student the ability to work individually on leveled books and assignments without waiting and without noise distractions.
