Story time is a class favorite for my kindergarten students but no one wants to hear the same person read over and over again.

Our class has been implementing a new reading program called ARI as well as a new reading series. For both ARI and the reading series we have to fill 60 minutes everyday with Literacy Workstations, better known as centers. For Kindergarten this is a difficult task, especially at the beginning of the year when they are not as independent.

One area that is a great station/center for kindergarten kids is the listening center. My kids always love stories and would love to be able to spend some time each day listening to someone besides me reading!

By helping to fund our listening center, you will be helping student learn very important pre-reading and reading skills, develop their vocabulary, and create a greater passion for reading.
