My Students
I have 18 wonderful 1st graders who all come from different backgrounds. They are full of energy with a willingness to learn. My job is to help them achieve their full potential.
In my class we create a love for reading!
1st graders spend a good portion of their day learning to read. I not only want them to learn to read but to develop a love for reading. Students are like sponges and I want them to get the most out of their learning.
My Project
I am requesting headphones and white boards for the students to use during their small group centers. I already have the iPads and listening center to use the headphones. The center will be used by each student daily.
The materials will help improve my students reading skills.
During small group instruction, students will independently use the headphones and white boards to increase their phonics skills, which is the foundation for reading. The lessons will be differentiated based on the students reading ability. The boards will be used to show the phonics work and prove the students learning!
