My Students

Our school is located in an urban area where all students receive a free lunch. Many of the children do not have access to basic school supplies. The children are filled with a curiosity to learn and succeed. We are a kindergarten through sixth grade school.

Our school is a place where students feel safe, respected, and ready to learn.

We have a very limited budget at our school with limited or no supplies. Many things I have to buy myself and I need help.

My Project

We would like to request a Classroom CD & Single Cassette Player and headphones for a listening center where students can listen to stories read to them. This helps build fluency and create a love for reading!

The tape/CD player broke and we do not have replacement.

The students are becoming excellent readers and this will help them continue their love of learning!

We also have interactive phonic activities. These are specific CDs that play sounds and the students complete the activity while listening to the CD. They really enjoy this activity because it helps them to be successful.

The listening center or station is out of order but with your help, we would like to try to get it back up and running!
