My Students
I teach teach Health and Technology in dual language school where most of my student population are English Language Learners.They also qualify for free and reduced lunches.Most are children of immigrants parents who are hardworking and dedicated to seeing their children succeed.
My students are passionate about reading and listening.They love to explore and challenge their thinking through technology.I -Ready has been a great tool that has been used to enhance their learning experience.They are able to read stories,solve problems, write and improve their vocabulary.
My Project
My school recently set up a computer lab and an I-Ready program.The I-Ready is a comprehensive assessment system that checks on how my students are progressing against expected growth targets.It also helps pinpoint my students strengths and areas of need.I also use this system to help track my students progress with common core standards and monitor their growth. My students need sixty headphones that will help them listen to the audio versions of these assessments and aid their learning thereby making real gains in reading and mathematics. It will also help to reduce the distraction and keep the students focused and on task.
