This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I genuinely love providing my students with the tools they need to succeed in life. My intention is to inspire them by showing them that anything is possible as long as they believe in themselves. Offering our students with autism and intellectual disabilities the challenges of the rigorous educational setting makes me incredibly happy. They attend academic classes on their own, but they also take part in typical high school electives and extracurricular activities.
The headphones will give them the opportunity to listen to the necessary assignments and assessments with any distractions from outside noises.
The sensory material will help them when they become overwhelmed with the events that are going on around them.
