This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious and chatty kindergartners. They love sharing their ideas and working together. Each child brings unique viewpoints-and experiences into my classroom creating a bright, enthusiastic, and eager bunch of smiling students. They love learning with me! I want to make their first year of school the best year! As a teacher, I know it is my responsibility to make a difference in their lives and ensure they have what they need to move on to first grade.

My Project

Technology has become a crucial part to learning in the classroom. Teachers are equipped with some amazing resources for students online. However, we are not equipped with the materials needed for the students to benefit from those resources. My students need 10 headphones to advance their learning in the classroom. As teachers, we have had to share headphones and that does not give ample time for students on the computer. Students will use the headphones to grow in math and reading! Programs like Zearn and I-stations help them succeed and grow as learners. 15 minutes a day with headphones on these programs give them the confidence they need in the classroom.
