My students need headphones in order to use Chromebooks successfully without distracting each other. Also, these headphones would be beneficial in a listening center.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school strives to be a data-driven facility. We have high expectations in literacy, mathematics and technology skills. This year we are undergoing a school transformation which has led to more students and larger class sizes.
The school is located in a poverty stricken area.
Many are of African and Hispanic descent. There is a large number of students who are English Language Learners and specifically one in our class that knows little to no English.
My class is full of outgoing and hardworking individuals. We pride ourselves in trying our best in reading, math, and technology.
My Project
The use of technology is an everyday occurrence in our classroom. Although we have been fortunate enough to share Chromebooks in our school, it can get rather distracting when the students are on websites that require attentive listening without having the proper materials. My students practice comprehension and phonics skills on the computer and in listening centers that needs undivided attention so having good quality headphones is necessary. Headphones would benefit us greatly, creating an attentive and goal driven atmosphere.
Donating to our cause will increase student attention and focus.
By implementing headphones during our technology time will improve student focus and drive for the material at hand. I truly need your help in order to make our vision come true.
