Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have a desire to learn each and every day. My three classes total out to 70 awesome students. Our classroom is two-thirds English-Language Learners and a whole three thirds phenomenal. Our entire school is Title 1.
Our students often come from environments that they cannot control, and I try to make the classroom a place where they know that they matter and that they are loved.
Students should always have a good day in which they learn new things and feel good about themselves. I want to make sure my classroom is a place for those good days.
My Project
Students will have the mushy smush bean bag chairs that allow them to wiggle around while using the technology, and another choice in seating so that they can work their best. My students can choose to sit at the bean bags or at their tables, allowing them to choose the way they know to work best. They don't always get a chance to make their own choices, and I want to provide them this choice in where they sit and how they will learn best.
The headphones will allow them to have reliable technology that is less likely to be damaged on accident because it is made tough for less gentle hands.
