This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their boundless curiosity and the joy they bring into our classroom every day. They are eager to learn, full of questions, and thrive when they have access to resources that spark their imagination and support their growth in meaningful ways.

The new Tonies characters for our listening center will be an incredible addition to our learning environment.

These engaging, screen-free audio stories capture students' attention and allow them to explore new worlds through storytelling. The English and Spanish Tonies are especially exciting because they support both language development and cultural inclusion.

For our English learners, these stories provide rich opportunities to hear fluent, expressive language in context, helping build vocabulary, comprehension, and listening skills. For our bilingual and Spanish-speaking students, the Spanish Tonies offer representation and affirmation of their home language, while still building literacy skills.

Most importantly, these resources will help create a welcoming and inclusive space where every student feels seen, valued, and excited to learn. They’ll be able to listen independently, follow along with joy, and grow in both confidence and curiosity.
