This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My PreK students love story time. During the day they listen to multiple stories, as a whole group activity.

Listening to stories is a favorite activity of my entire class.

I would love to give the students the ability to listen to a story on their own during our center time. A listening center will allow the students to focus on a story that they're listening to individually, or in a small group, without the distraction of the whole class. Students who struggle with the English language will be able to build their confidence while all students will be able to increase their tracking skills, while discussing the story with their small group after they are finished "reading."
