My students are rays of sunshine that brighten every day!
They are filled with enthusiasm and love and enjoy their jobs as students. Even though they are only six, they are capable of so much! As Dr. Seuss once said, "A person's a person no matter how small." My school is a bright spot covered with gardens, laughter, and excitement. Each day on campus you will find a diverse population of learners from all walks of life. Students and faculty work as a team, embracing how we are different, and doing all that we can to make each day a great one! Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and highly effective learning environment for all students through consistent, quality education!
My Project
Every student learns differently. Some learn by seeing, speaking, or doing. Other learn by LISTENING. By providing materials in my classroom for a listening center students will be able to experience a different strategy for learning. With the requested ipods, headphones, and audio books, my students will be able to listen to a variety of genres and different text types during their days in the classroom. Student will be able to listen to the details of a story without interruption. In this center, students will select story, listen carefully, and be able to retell, inform, or give their opinion in written form. By doing this, reading, writing, and speaking and listening skills will be greatly enhanced.
This project will improve my classroom because students will have another strategy to use in their learning.
It will better the lives of my students by be able to teach and experience relevant technology, literature, and follow-up activities that will assist them in being college and career ready as they move through their educational journey.
