My students LOVE their Nooks but they need some organization!! They also need a new CD player for our listening center since ours broke.
My students love to read.
Each morning a different group gets their Nook and a set of headphones. Right now they are behind my desk and there is no organization to how they are put back. We would LOVE to be able to have a "spot" for the Nooks as well as the headphones.
We also have a listening center in our classroom but our CD player recently broke. We haven't been able to listen to any of our books on CD. My students would love to listen to them again.
My Project
Each morning a different group of students gets their Nook and headphones. I have a lot of books downloaded onto the Nook. My students love to read and are very excited but when they go to put them back they are not organized and plugged back in to charge. This "docking" station will be an asset to the room...with its organization and recharging station the students will be able to put each Nook back.
We also would love to use our listening center again. With our CD player being broken the students are unable to listen to books on CD. It would be wonderful if we could have another CD player in the room.
The donations from the project will allow the technology in the classroom to be cared for safely.
The CD player will offer the students their listening center back. It will also teach responsibility to the students.
