My students need a cozy spot to listen and read along with their favorite books. The imagination nook and rug will provide students with both independent and group opportunities for literacy.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is an inquiry based, pre-kindergarten. My students are always exploring, and are full of questions about the world around them. All of the planning and teaching is inspired by our students. We take their knowledge, experiences, and wonderings to create our curriculum. My goal is to facilitate their learning through guidance, teaching, and creating an environment that is rich and inviting.
The eighteen students in my classroom are curious, bright, and full of wonder.
Regardless of where they come from, they all share that enthusiasm for learning. Their excitement for school and learning is evident the moment they walk through the door of our class. They greet their teachers and peers with a big smile, ready for a day full of adventure.
My Project
My pre-kindergarten students love books. They enjoy reading and listening to their favorite stories. My students will use the listening center nook everyday at choice time. It will provide them with a comfortable space to sit back, relax, and enjoy books. With the back shelf, all the components of our listening center will have a place that will be easily accessible to the students.
The meeting area is an important part of our classroom.
This smaller carpet help us create a more compact place to meet. It will provide us with an intimate space to learn, build our community, sing, share stories, laugh, and play.
