This project is fully funded

I am a sixth grade teacher on the South Side of Chicago. I have 28 students in my classroom and I teach all subjects. My school is in a very low income neighborhood and there is a great need for supplies. I work very hard with my students to instill a love for reading. I have worked for the last six years to create an awesome classroom library for my students. There is no library in the school and the public library is too far away and the neighborhood too dangerous to walk to, so the books they read, they get from me. This year, our school started full inclusion in our regular education classrooms. I have 5 students with IEPs that I have been working with to improve their literacy skills. I am trying to pull them up to the reading level of the rest of my students. I would love to get some books on CD for these students to use. They truly want to read the books in my classroom library that their peers are reading. With the books on CD they would be able to listen while they read, helping with comprehension and vocabulary. Please help by supplying my room with 10 audiobooks. Success in school and success in life depends on the ability to read. Students should have the opportunity to learn this skill with books that they love and are interested in. Please help me to reach this goal, so my students now and in the future will develop a love for reading!
