This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First, headphones over the past few years have become scarce on our campus. I used to be able to ask for new sets that could replace broken headphones. Currently, my class is using headphones that are half broken (they only work out of one side). I have tried to fix them myself but they are too damaged. Headphones are a necessity nowadays for teaching in a technology forward world.
Secondly, I would like to have more apple pencils in my class.
I have one student this year that struggles with note taking. I would like to give him more opportunities to succeed with note taking, even if it is with an apple pencil on an iPad. I will be allowing my students that struggle with handwriting to practice on their iPads as well to increase handwriting and note taking success.
