My Students

My students and I are embarking on a new adventure. We are opening a brand new school together. While we are blessed with many new items, our school did not open with books that students can read at their level. My students are very enthusiastic, energetic and curious first graders. They love to discover new things, and watch the world around them. Many do not have access to books at home and treasure our classroom library. Their eyes light up when they get materials to take home as a part of their own collection.

My students are creative, inquisitive , and learn best with hands on experiences.

They thrive when they have visuals and and examples they can refer back to when making connections to new ideas. I am honored every year when I am blessed with a new batch of young learners, their newly discovered insights inspire me to be a learner on a daily basis.

My Project

We have access to great technology in our classroom. What we have discovered is that we need headphones to listen clearly to others thinking, and microphones to help record our thinking.

We also need styluses to help record our thoughts because using our fingers make it a challenge for others to be able to understand our work.

We would like to practice being more precise with our work.

By using new headphones that are sturdy enough for first graders and new styluses, we can use new technology appropriately, and with purpose. We cannot wait to get started!
