This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students in Mississippi are so amazing! My kindergarten students amaze me each year at how much they learn and grow from August to May. They are always trying new things, asking questions, and reaching new goals. My students at my school are just beginning their academic career, and I want to do my best to create a fun environment for them to learn and grow!

They are always striving to do better and show so much excitement when they reach the goals we have set before them.

They continually amaze me and keep me motivated to do my best for them!

My Project

With your help, we can get brand new resources for our listening center! Reading foundational skills are a very crucial part of kindergarten. We are always looking for ways to make learning and reading fun! We love center time and it is a great time for us to work on specific skills. Through these Listen & Learn center activities we can work on phonics, phonemic awareness and comprehension. It will give students a fun activity to do while still learning and working on reading skills. It will be a great addition to our classroom center rotations every day. Help us listen while we learn!
