My Students

Not all students are created equally. This has never been more true than in today's diverse classroom. Not only are they interested in different topics, but they have different learning needs and styles. Some prefer to sit quietly and learn independently, while others are constantly on the move—actively learning about the world around them.

My fourth graders are inquisitive explorers of the world around them.

They are social learners who enjoy social settings where they can share ideas and encourage each other throughout the learning process.

My Project

Listening is an important part of learning. Much of today's curriculum is delivered digitally and requires students to read and view their material—and much of it includes videos or audio text. Some students even have modifications that require an auditory aspect for written material.

Having a set of good, working headphones is now an essential requirement for the classroom.

Most students are fortunate to provide their own headphones, but many cannot. And we know that there are times when even good headphones break or stop working. I want my students to have access to these tools so their education may continue without interruption.
