My Students

Year after year, I'm blessed and lucky enough to teach and spend my day with the sweetest kiddos alive! I teach in a high-poverty, low socioeconomic community in southern Mississippi. Our teachers are the best and the kiddos are just so awesome.

Each day, my students step off the bus ready and so excited to learn.

In my classroom, I try to make learning as fun as possible, but we do not always have the supplies and materials that we need to succeed.

My Project

This project is all about making sure we have the materials we need to succeed.

Have you ever had trouble concentrating due to excess noise in the room?

Imagine a classroom full of Chromebooks blasting out various sounds! This scenario is a daily problem for us and it is very disruptive to learning.

Throughout the day my kiddos complete lessons and quizzes on their Chromebooks. Because these lessons are all tailored to the individual's needs, the lessons can often be noisy. For this project we are requesting a class set of wired headphones. These headphones will greatly reduce the noise and allow for each child to focus on their lesson.
