Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have a classroom of second and third grade scholars who are enthusiastic about learning.

With the support of Donors Choose donors, my students will be able to utilize these resources to improve their reading and writing skills and become productive life-long learners.

The students love learning new skills and enjoy our school. They are excited about school and the different ways I teach them new things. I am so excited to see each and every one of my scholars grow completely from their academics, to behavior, and social skills.

My Project

My two reading classes are in need of a listening station. The listening station will be used during our station time in our reading block. This listening station will help improve my students' listening comprehension skills. Listening comprehension is important with helping students understand the words they hear. In addition, the CD player and headphones will help the students to hear fluent reading as they follow along to the story. They will be able to hear and become more fluent readers with the listening station. The students will be trained to use the equipment independently and with the small group.
