My Students

My kindergarteners are curious and eager to learn about their world! They desperately need technology that can open their eyes to the science and math content that the web and current educational apps have to offer!

My students are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and diverse in cultures and learning styles.

I have an integrated classroom with general education, special education, and ELL (English Language Learner) students. They are especially motivated by science and math content and activities which allow them hands-on or multi-media experiences. I have recently requested iPads minis for our classroom. However, we also need headphones to effectively take care of and use these digital tools.

My Project

We are in need of six headphones so that students will be able to use them in the classroom without distractions or distracting others. Students will use the iPad minis in partnerships, independently, and in small groups to explore bookmarked sites from the Internet which will help deepen their understanding of science and math content, use educational apps to supplement their learning in class, and do internet research and exploration for class projects. The headphones will enable us to use the iPads effectively in the busy classroom setting.

Technology can be such a powerful tool in the classroom.

It can open students’ eyes to the outside world through images, videos, communication tools, and more! It is empowering for students as they take charge of their learning experiences. I am so excited to see my students motivated and engaged on a whole new level, through the use of technology! This project will absolutely make a difference in students' lives!
