My students need 10 headphones to be able to use computers in small groups while students are participating in reading rotations and other activities. We also need a storage cart for the headphones.
I am a fourth grade reading/social studies teacher. My students represent a range of academic, socio-economic and cultural diversity.
My students learn through a variety of small-group interactive learning stations.One of their favorite stations is computers.A few students have their own headsets but most do not and I would like to level the playing field by having a class set of high quality headphones available to all of my students.
I utilize many educational interactive websites to engage my students in reading. This exposure to print in electronic and verbal format is very beneficial for building students background knowledge and vocabulary. We have a set of computers for a small group and I am in need of headphones so students can access online lessons and materials without disturbing other small groups.

My Project
Technology is an important component for students to access learning in the 21st century. Our school system is working with our community in order to raise funds so that all of our students will have one to one access. I currently have a small class set of laptop computers for students to use during reading stations. Only a few of my students have their own personal headphones and my goal for this project is to have a class set of headphones so all of my students have equal access to the online learning resources I use on a daily basis.
