This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at my school are awesome! These students come to school each and every day ready to hit the ground running with their education. They may have struggles, but they try their hardest to fight these struggles to become better students.
My school is located in a neighborhood that faces many difficulties on a daily basis.
It is a poverty-stricken neighborhood. My school is a Title I school and every student receives free lunch daily. Even though the neighborhood isn't the best for these students and their families, they still make it to school each day. The school is most student's safe place where they can be themselves and enjoy learning.
My Project
My students use technology such as tablets and computers on a daily basis. They work on reading and math programs to improve their learning. While they are on computers, they need to have headphones. The headphones allow them to hear their own individualized program.
Our classroom currently has headphones, but since we use them daily, they are wearing and tearing.
My students try their best to take care of our materials but they are old. Since they are old, we could really use replacements.
Not only are we asking for class headphones, but we are also requesting earbuds for each individual child. This will allow my students to hold onto their headphones and use them when they go over to our technology class.
