This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Five years ago, through Donors Choose, I was generously granted a class set of headphones with microphones. They have been amazing and my ELD students have benefitted greatly from having them available in the classroom. However, nothing lasts forever!
Some of the headphones are starting to show their age and buckle under the workload.
I am asking for ten more to refill my class set. I teach English Language Learners and a huge part of what we do involves listening and speaking. The headphones are used for listening to academic videos and other audio formats like books and podcasts. The microphones allow students to record responses for me to listen to and evaluate.
My students and I would greatly appreciate any support you have to give so we can continue the learning!
