Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students come from low socioeconomic households and more than 90% receive free or reduced price lunch. The students at my school come everyday with a thirst for learning and desire experiences other children from higher socioeconomic backgrounds sometimes take for granted. The potential these students posses is vast and their willingness to learn and try new things is limitless. These headphones will help my students use the school technology to read and research during reading and writing. Our current topic is our economy, it’s history and how we use currency. Research is a big part of our daily lessons. Right now we have nearly all students without working headphones and it gets pretty distracting with all the computers going at once.
