This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a Title I school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students come from many different backgrounds, cultures, races, and family dynamics. Many students come from low income, multi-family households. My school is a very large public school that serves nearly 1,000 students.

As diverse as my students backgrounds are, they are even more diverse academically.

They each have many individual needs that can change almost daily. Differentiation plays a major role in my classroom in order to help each and every student become successful both academically and in life.

My Project

Technology is the center of not only my classroom, but the growing world today. With the presence of technology so prevalent in today's home, communities, and classrooms, I have learned through experience that lessons including it are very engaging and fun for students.

My students have many opportunities to learn, practice skills, and play using many different forms of technology.

They are lucky enough to not only experience technology through whole group lessons on our interactive whiteboard but also have access to their own computers in the classroom. These student headphones will give them the ability to learn independently using their own computer.
