Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As a teacher, my goal is not only teach my students, but to support their learning in any way possible. Headphones are a must used item, and are a very expensive school supply. Being able to supply my students with a new pair of headphones will really benefit them.

My students use their computers for iReady lessons and unit assessments, and need a good pair of headphones in order to do their very best.

Without them, students could miss out on something important, and/or it could affect their learning goals. State testing is also coming up, and without headphones my students won't be able to thrive. Being able to provide my students with a class list of quality headphones could go a long way with relieving the stress that goes along with the daily struggle of figuring out where they headphones are or if they are broken, etc. Many of my parents come from low income households, so asking them to provide them often, may put a financial burden on them.
