My Students

I have a class of 25 wonderful 5 and 6 year olds. They are all eager to learn and excited to come to school every day.

My students come from a diverse urban community.

We have students from many different backgrounds and cultures including Brazil, Spain, Portugal, and Nepal. Our class also includes several mainstreamed Deaf students. It is a joy to watch all the students work together help each other to learn about the world they live in! I am so excited to see the social and academic growth of this group of children.

My Project

We are lucky enough to have access to many books on tape and CD. My old CD player has been on its last leg for a long time and recently gave up on us. With this new CD player my students will again have access to all of the wonderful resources available.

Access to information in both a written and audio format allows students to learn in whatever what works best for them!

With this CD player my students can listen, read, or follow along while they listen to many different books. Additionally, this CD offers multiple headphone jacks so that students can listen quietly in a small group, and my Deaf and hard of hearing students can connect their assitive listening devices directly to the CD player to have equal access. This CD player also has the option for Bluetooth connection which will allow me to play audio that is available online, but not in a physical format.
