My Students

Our 2nd graders are francophone! They speak French in the classroom but also English during the recess and for some of them even Spanish and Portuguese at home.

It is a multicultural group with so much diversity and enthusiastic kids!

During our lessons, we are used to working in pairs or groups. We love to share ideas and present to each other the diverse strategies that we use to find solutions in math for example. We also like free time which enables us playing together and develop our social skills.

My Project

We really want to improve our comprehension skills in French and for that, we need to listen and listen again stories. We already have the stories but no way to listen to them.

Headphones are great for the kids because they can practice their comprehension in a foreign language on their own and be independent.

This year we are also going to work a lot in math through the games. We wish to develop our qualities of reflection, cooperation, and organization. The construction and board games like the K'nex Building set and the will help us to achieve that.

We also want to realize several art projects on the theme of Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, and for that, we will need new supplies in art like the Crayola washable tempera paint or Minstrel Air dry clay.
