I teach preschool through third grade music in a Title One school in a small district in New Jersey.
My students are incredibly enthusiastic about music and we spend our time together singing, dancing, playing instruments and having fun! I feel so fortunate to be working with them while they are at such a critical young age - if I can inspire a passion for the subject now, I will plant the seeds that can grow into a lifelong love and appreciation of music.
My Project
My students need several items so that we can maximize our time together. The scarves will be used for creative and guided movement to music. The bins will be used to store our instruments and make them accessible for the students. The clipboards will be used when we are writing, drawing, and responding to music - there are no desks or tables in the classroom, so nowhere for students to lean! The other materials will all be used towards creating a functioning and fun music classroom.
With your help, my students will get the materials needed to help get the very most out of our short time together.
