My students need books on cd, such as Stone Soup, The Lion King and several Henry and Mudge adventures, varietal seating, five shelf book storage to replace our listening center that was destroyed as a result of Hurricane Harvey.
Students in my class have been diagnosed with various learning disabilities that effect the time and manner in which they learn. The core subjects (Math and Reading/Writing) are the focus in my classroom, and I make sure that my kids have what they need to be successful in school, and in life.
My classroom environment is one of love and trust.
It is their constant; their safe-haven. I strive daily to ensure that my students feel safe, and that they are given the same opportunities to expand their minds, and fulfill their potential as all other students.
My Project
My students need books on cd, such as Stone Soup, The Lion King and several Henry and Mudge adventures, varietal seating, five shelf book storage to replace our listening center that was destroyed as a result of Hurricane Harvey. “Listen My Children” has been created to replace our beloved listening center that drowned in Hurricane Harvey. Right now, we have a CD player, some headphones, and a book on cd. We are asking for help in expanding our listening center by adding more books on cd, a children’s edition Kindle, storage, vocabulary enhancement activities, and fun seating options.
My students utilize the listening center not only to improve their listening skills, but to help with other skills such as retelling, comprehension, sequencing, creative writing, and much more.
Thank you for helping us rebuild our listening center. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
