My Students

Every morning my students recite our class affirmation, We are AWESOME!

I teach first grade in a Title I school in Utah.

It's a high-needs school where over 80 percent of the students live in poverty. We also receive students from a nearby homeless shelter. We are a Turn Around School and we are dedicated to helping all students succeed. Many of my students are also English Language Learners and because of this they need extra support and a more creative means of instruction.

My Project

My students will use these ear buds to help them stay focused on their iPads while they are reading and recording books. They will also use them to keep focused practicing their math facts. These storage containers and organizational tools will help them keep their ear buds organized and at the ready.

These donations of ear buds and organizational tools will help to quiet my classroom and thereby help my students focus on their work.

A quiet classroom will enhance my students concentration and boost their overall success in school.
