This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is the first tuition-free, public charter school in Arizona focused on the educational needs of children with autism. We serve students across the spectrum-nonverbal, low academic skills to highly verbal high academic students. I have been teaching and supporting diverse learners for 7 amazing years. I teach and support Kindergarten students with Autism and diverse needs. In my classroom, we have learners with various social skills, behavior needs, and cognitive levels.

Our learners have diverse needs and a providing extra support for learners to be successful is so important.

The square tiles will support students sensory needs when lining up and support as a visual to where they should stand. In addition, the seat cushions will provide flexible seating for learners during stations work and circle time!
