This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Fuel our creativity! My middle school Language Arts students cannot print typed work, computer projects or research materials! Their teacher cannot print lesson plans, fliers, letters home or make copies of instructional materials to share with the students.
My students are 6th graders at an urban low income public school.
It is a visual and performing arts magnet school and these kids are brimming with creativity! Many of them do not have access to a computer or printer at home. Though I lack technology in all areas, we do have a few old computers in the classroom. It would be so nice if the students were able to print their papers and projects as this bit of technology will help engage and excite them!
My Project
I am requesting a multifunction printer, paper, and other accessories. Just a few examples of how it will be used include creating graphic organizers, printing final drafts of typed essays, printing spreadsheets and other visual projects, and printing letters and other documents to be sent home with students.
This donation will help boost creativity, excitement, and self-confidence.
Every little bit will help move us toward our goal and providing this small step toward having a more technology integrated classroom.
