My Project
At KMS, our theater students are resilient, creative, and eager to express themselves through the arts. As a Title I school, many of our students face economic and personal challenges, but theater provides them with a safe space where they can build confidence, find their voice, and develop essential life skills like teamwork and perseverance. Lights, Stage, Action: Illuminating Our Theater Stars! will give our students the stage lighting and equipment they need to enhance their performances, allowing them to engage in the magic of theater fully. These resources will help them understand stage presence, storytelling, and production design, ensuring they receive a true theater experience. For many of our students, this program is more than just an elective—it is a place where they overcome obstacles, express their emotions, and feel a sense of belonging. By supporting this project, you are giving these talented students the opportunity to shine, not just on stage, but in their futures as well.
