Help me give my students tools to study sound and light with prisms, lenses, Fiber Optics, and tuning forks to enhance my students' learning with visual and hands-on opportunities.
Working in public education, there are often times when funding is not available to have hands-on labs with my students. My classroom has diverse learners with varying backgrounds, interests, and abilities. They are a vibrant and curious bunch eager to learn and engage in new experiences.
Students will use these tools to discover light and Color, reflection, and refraction with prisms and different lenses.
They will experience fiber optics and discover how their eyes see different colors. The final chapter will be to see how sound travels in waves with the tuning forks. These hands-on materials will help enhance our lessons.
Teaching science has always been my passion because it allows me to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for discovery in students.
My project includes resources I will use throughout the school year as we learn about energy, sound, and light.
We will use these materials to help us become lifelong scientists. I want my students to have hands-on labs instead of using worksheets. Thanks for helping us experience science in the real world.
