Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students keep me laughing, even if some days that means we laugh together to keep from crying! I am fortunate enough to teach some of the sweetest students. Middle school, especially 6th grade, can be a tough time, but my students are learning how to push through, build up their work-ethic, and see themselves as successful young ladies and gentlemen.

My Project

We recently received an new iPad to use to create lessons and content for both in-person students and virtual learners. The Apple pencil can be used with the ipad to further enhance the activities, as well as allow me to give more specific feedback to students. The ring light with device holder will help with video quality for recorded lessons.

Making educational videos appear more like what they watch in their free time will help increase engagement.

Students spend a lot of time watching YouTube and TikTok, which feature higher quality videos with professional lighting and technology. My hope is that they will learn to love watching their educational videos just as much!
