This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our boys’ soccer team has so many talented, hardworking kids who deserve to be seen by their families, by college coaches, and by the world. But the reality is, these days if your program doesn’t show up on social media, people don’t even know the work these students are putting in. That’s why I’m trying to get a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Vlogging Camera for our team. With this, we can record highlights, player spotlights, team content, and moments they’ll remember forever. It’s not just about winning games, it’s about building confidence, showing them off to college recruiters, and growing our soccer program so more students want to be part of it. We have students with real talent, but without the right video and social media presence, they might get overlooked. I don’t want that for them. I want them to have every chance possible to get noticed, to share their hard work, and to create memories with their team. Social media is part of the game now, it helps bring more students in, gets more eyes on our school, and helps these kids have content they can share with their families and maybe even future college coaches.

I believe in these students, and I believe our program can be bigger.

We just need the tools to make it happen.
