Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students come from diverse cultural backgrounds, each with unique stories, traditions, and culinary experiences. To celebrate this diversity, we are launching a student-led multicultural interview show that explores different cultures through personal interviews and food. To bring this vision to life, we need high-quality audiovisual equipment, including cameras, microphones, and lighting, to produce professional and engaging content.
This project will allow students to share their heritage, traditions, and favorite cultural dishes while developing valuable skills in media production, communication, and storytelling.
Each episode will feature students preparing or showcasing a cultural dish while discussing their family history, traditions, and personal experiences. With the right AV equipment, we can ensure that their voices are heard clearly, their stories are captured beautifully, and their cultures are represented authentically.
Beyond storytelling, this project fosters inclusivity, understanding, and appreciation for the rich diversity within our school community. It also provides hands-on experience with media production—an invaluable skill set in today’s digital world. Your support will help us purchase the necessary equipment to give our students a platform to share their cultures with the school and beyond.
