My Project

The best way to reflect and improve in theater is to be able to view your own performances. This has been a challenge in our space when students only have phones and ipads to record monologues and performances. It is hard to hear the acting, and the images are often graining and bumpy.

With this project, our theater classes would have a dedicated camera and stable tripod to record acting performances and take pictures for their design portfolios.

Students could reflect on their performances in the acting classes and use recordings to submit auditions. In the tech classes, students would be able to take pictures of their process and end products for portfolios. This would allow students to both reflect on their work and submit work for their future careers.
