Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and want to start recording professional quality announcements. My students come from a diverse background but they are all ready and eager to learn how to record, produce, edit, and showcase daily announcements to all students on campus. What our class lacks in funds, they double in smarts and work ethic. We are limited in the resources to produce high quality video recordings.

My students come to class, despite their history, and are always prepared to take on whatever challenges in front of them.

We focus on recording daily news segments that are selected by students and try to add a positive spin to their work.

My Project

Every morning, students in my class write scripts, rehearse, record, and edit daily announcements. These announcements are aired on televisions, which are in every classroom on campus. Our daily news provide students on campus with important information that range from upcoming school events to after school tutoring. My students also work on weekly segments that deal with stories that interests them. Weekly segments revolve around topics they picked which are sporting events, current events, technology, and things that are on trend. This year our goal is to start publishing these videos on YouTube. Having this equipment will help improve the quality of the work that is being produced by our students.
