My Students

Digital arts is where technology and art meet. This is the perfect marriage for STEAM.

My goal for this project is for my students to create stop animation films about science topics.

My students will choose a topic that interest them in science and animate it using the principles of film making and photography. My students will incorporate the elements and principles of art while showcasing their knowledge of science. For, example my students may choose to create a stop animation film about water cycles. They could use cut paper and move it slowly as they snap pictures to demonstrate the water cycle.

My Project

My students will use these four cameras to take the numerous photos necessary to create a stop animation film. Each frame will show a small movement and when put together and sped up it will create a short film. My students have some film experience so they will be able to add in text, music and voice to the film during editing.

Your donation to the project will help to keep arts alive and public schools as well as bring STEAM to my classroom.

My classroom holds our future artists, inventors, and thinkers and your donation will help them gain an artistic experience that happens through the topic of science.
