My Project

The world is changing, and what students need to learn and have access to is changing even faster.

This project opportunity and experience will immediately serve the 24+ students from my 8th-grade classes and others in grades 4th through 12th throughout the school year.

These students are part of a 4-8th grade Intermediate School, allowing for unique partnerships between grade levels and the real world.

With the funding of this project, students will be able to utilize the drone to document the Costa Rica explorations (yearly summer trip for 8th graders). Students will be able to write, produce, and edit their journey. Students will document their adventures and learn the skills needed to make a quality video that could be shared with those beyond our local community. There are no limits to what their creativity can create as we connect technology to our Costa Rica experience. The drone will be used to allow students the opportunity to document their experience in the production of short videos to be shared with future students and families interested in the program. The advantages of the drone are endless in the possibilities we can and will use in creating documentaries of our experiences and learning.

This project (if funded) will not only change the way students explore their world but how they share what they learn along the way.

The world will now be available to my students in an engaging atmosphere whether they explore and document our Costa Rica experience. I appreciate your consideration!
